Meet your friend Sam?
From a dishwasher to an internet entrepreneur!
Hi, my names Sam, but on the internet, I usually go by my last name, “Ammouri”. Love in Italian Due to some Italian background.
I’m an internet marketer, and affiliatesbootcamp.com and other websites I own are websites where I teach people how to start an online business and make money from home.
I wasn’t always an internet marketer, in fact, I’ve done quite a few different jobs over the years and first of them was a dishwasher at the fireplace diner, St Petersburg Florida , and the last one is what you see now.
But let’s start a bit further back; if you’re going to get to know me, you should know a bit about where I’m from and what I’ve done.
I grew up in Istanbul and Cyprus, I’m a mix of Italian, Greek And Turkish, but left soon after graduating high school to travel and get higher education in the United states. I was completely bored in Istanbul or so I thought, and wanted to see the world, I guess ventures are always in my blood and hated to be just a local.
At the time, I had a friend living in Tampa Florida, so I used her house as my “home base” till I got things together.
The beginning was wild, I went through the disco tech era and the 80’s very widely. I made tons of friends, traveled all over the country, and became fluent in English even though I was taught the language at very early stages at school.
But after being wild for a while, I began thinking about my future. It had been years since I left Greece And Turkey. I was having a blast traveling, but I was still changing jobs every couple of years, working in places without any job security, for wages that made saving any money almost Impossible.
I went to collage for marketing In St Petersburg Florida and Essex county Collage in Newark New Jersey but never graduated due to lack of money, but managed to continue the education on my own turf ( self education) till I was able to master the direct marketing niche.
I did great with it during the 1990’s and managed to own 2 gift shops for a decade in Long Island New York, but finally lost it during Hurricane Sandy in October 29/2012.
But internet marketing was the career path that ‘clicked’ for me after I lost my businesses, mostly because I could do it from the comfort of my own home and according to my own schedule.
I needed a plan.
I can’t really recall how the idea was born, but it occurred to me that I could make money on the internet even though all I heard about internet money was negative and money is very hard to earn on any online venture, but I decided to make another adventure and break this rule.
Things as always started to play in my mind and drive me crazy like… “If I could somehow make US dollars while living abroad, I could live like a king”. “I could work anywhere in the world and have cash flowing in while I sleep (on US time”. Imagine when you have such thoughts playing in your head 24/7 while you’re unemployed.
It took me about 4 months, from about January to April of (2013) of browsing around different sites, joining tons of mailing lists, watching endless hours of promotional videos, and following my share of purported “gurus” before I came across a place that is called Wealthy Affiliate.
As a matter of fact, I don’t even remember which site or search engine referred me to WA, but the point is that I got there and started my training in May 2013.
By October of that same year I had made my first sale, it came from Amazon affiliate link, I thought it would never happen, it took so long, I almost lost faith, and I was hooked, I felt I was Napoleon Bonaparte of the internet even though it was only a sale that made $5.30 commission, but at least I knew it works and all I have to do is to triple my efforts and never give up if I have to achieve any of my above thoughts. This also gave me the glimpse of hope to go on.
I could actually make money online.
The rest of my internet marketing journey takes off here, which you’re welcome to read.
But I want to talk about myself some more!
So it’s 2013 now, and work full time as an internet marketer.
I’ve got a couple sites, but what I really enjoy doing is building different types of websites, looking for new revenue streams, and experimenting with different types of marketing strategies.
Now affiliatesbootcamp.com is about helping YOU.
So many people have helped me along the way and I do believe it’s time to “pay if forward”, and give back to the community. I do believe in getting more when helping more.
After being in this industry for about 2 years now, I’ve seen tons of scams that I fell for a couple of during my search, misleading offers, and hyped sales pages claiming that you can make 50 million dollars in 5 days with this one “secret system”
“Believe me this is a load of BS”
Even sometimes lots of the honest guys have trouble explaining things in a simple way, or just don’t have the patience to walk you through the baby steps of a beginner who needs the most help.
I do have a free starter course that you can join that is designed specifically for newbies looking to start making money online. I’ve taken out all the hype and scam tactics that heartless gurus use, and explained the concepts of how I (yes, ME) make money on the internet.
You can join the free course here, PLUS, if you join, you’ll be automatically signed up for future updates that I send out to my subscribers. This includes free insight about how I build my websites, silly mistakes I’ve made, and suggestions for squeezing more profit from your own businesses.
I love my subscribers, and respond to all emails, which is another awesome thing about being an exclusive member of my site. Where else can you get 1-on-1 support building an online business?
If you have any questions or comments you can contact me here, leave a comment below, or just respond to the email that’s in your inbox waiting for you after you sign up for the course.
I’ve got a couple of social media accounts you can see the above buttons on main menu bar.
If you’re in the Long Island, New York area, drop me a line. We can grab a beer (or coffee at Starbucks) and talk internet marketing or even just life in general.
And on one last note, I’d really like to learn how to sail with all these lovey shorelines around me, so if you know how to sail, or know someone that does, I’d be happy to discuss some kind of teacher-exchange where we can learn from each other.
