Creating Readable Content That Convert

We are also going to covering the two aspects of your content that will truly allow you to scale your success, keyword selection, and make your content convert.

The video for this lesson can be utilized to get a clear idea on how to follow specific rules to create “readable” content.

Making Your Content Beautifully Readable

Content needs to be readable. People are becoming less and less inclined to read “novels” of content these days, so by keeping your ideas a bit more brief, controlled, and allowing the eyes to have white space is going to help with readability.

Remember, if someone doesn’t read your content, then you lose all the benefits of creating content. People that engage in your content will convert.

Here are 6 things that make up a quality page or post:

  1.  Smaller Paragraphs
  2. Separate your ideas with HEADING tabs (h3 or h4, read post)
  3.  Black or dark grey text on white background
  4. Use conversational speak
  5. Use a captivating headline
  6. Use a relevant image within the first fold of the pageYour goal should be to show people something within your content, not tell people. There is a big difference when you think about it. Let’s look at an example:Option #1: Show people how you use the website builder at WA, perhaps even include a video walking people through the process.Option #2: Tell people what the website builder at WA is and how it works

    What do you think would have a greater effect and reveal more benefits to the reader? The showing will obviously have a much greater impact and make your content much more credibile.

    An example of this would be to show someone how you do keyword research. Show them how you use WA, don’t just tell them how they can use it. Showing leads to more conversions and selling, and these are two things that we are going to be covering here within this Phase 2 training.

    The way you present your content on your pages can make the difference between somebody reading it and someone completely leaving your website altogether. The more pleasing it is to the eye and the more interesting your content is the more conversions you will see as a result.
